battery dies after 2-3 days not starting it

a while back i thought i found the problem when i found the trunk light shorted. but now i cant find the short or the drain. i tried pulling fuses with no luck. but if i take the ground off the battery and put an test light on it to the frame the light turns on. i think something is shorted but cant find it.
i even took out the redtop battery but still does it. redid alternsator wires, starter wire. removed the delay relay.

how do i locate my power loss?

Work your way from battery on out. Does disconnecting alt wire help?

A common problem with these cars is the fan delay relay. That is the big one on the drivers side fender. Unplug it, you do not need it, and see if that helps. If it is the original it is likely corroded.
