Car has been running fine until today, car is missing under high boost conditions(10# or more),i have noticed that my battery voltage drops to 12.4-12.5 when driving,13.2-13.3 at idle, should be the opposite,is this voltage drop(12.4-12.5)enough to cause a high boost miss? or should i look elsewhere, like i said the car was running perfect until today when it developed this high speed miss, also, it gets worse as the car warms up,if i step on it when its 160 deg or so it wont miss, thx for input

Yup,low voltage can cause that problem.
Get the charging system checked and if it's the regulator wire gone funky, call John Spina and get his regulator harness fixer-upper thingy.:D
It plugs into the wastegate solenoid harness[if I remember correctly] and reads system voltage from there.
I got a prototype and it solved a LOT of problems.
Wish he'd thought of it sooner and it's cheap too.:)

And check your grounds. Especially the main ground wire from the battery to the block.

Lo voltz

Lo volts will also cause a loss of fuel volume/pressure. If the VDC at the pump has dropped by a volt or so, then the pump can be short by 10-15% output....:( :(
Rk, is the Casper deal a method of sensing the system condition and using that to control the alt output vs the internal reading that the alt used to begin with??

I saw some GOOD elec info at www.madelectrical.com, that is good to know. I think it does about what the Casper setup does.
There are several other articles there that can help w/ problem solving.

When I check my voltage at the alternator and the battery it reads about 14.2 volts. On my Scanmaster it reads anywhere from 12.6 to 13.4. Why is that? I also have a high rpm miss. Thanks, R.B.

Because what your scantool is reading is what the ECM is reporting that IT is seeing being received internally. This is after all the run through the wires and connectors on it's way to the ECM. Lot's of potential for losses along the way.

lo voltz?

Check the VDC at the ecm. [I don't recall the pin #]. while UR there, be sure the ECM connectors are clean. Also check the connector at the battery.. It's the small orange wire w/ the connector in it. It is in with the POS cable connector, and can get corroded and will have a significant volt drop. If the POS cable has the "green grunge" at the terminals, it's history, [ and the grunge has gone under the insulation] and has to be replaced. Call John Spina at CASPERS for the parts.

The Casper's doohickey reads system voltage through another point instead of the stock wiring.
Works jake.
Worth it's weight in gold.
Five minutes plug and play.
Really saved my bacon.:D
Got my voltage back up from 12.8-13.2 to 13.8.
