I would like to ditch my TE60 a go with a BB turbo equal to a PT51 thru TE63-1. I have a complete stock motor/heads with standard bolt ons. Anyone have any data on typical gains moving from a TE60 type turbo to a BB TE63-1 size turbo?

Probably around 30hp. at the same boost level in the 22-26psi. range.

I went from a TA62 to a 70 p-trim and got 38hp. at 24psi., dyno testing, different days and different dyno however both dynojets with similar temps. and testing conditions; ie. fan for intercooler, same lockup converter etc.

Both tests pump gas and alky. 21* timing in 3rd.

Spool is better on the double BB however. :)

The Turbonetics BB66 spools great with 3000-3200 stall.

I'd ask Jack Cotton what he recommends, which just might include some Champion Iron heads to go with it.

What other mods do you have. You could go a lot faster than the time in your sig with the TE60. Going to a T66BB with ported irons and a front mount could yield at least another 120hp than you have now at 25-27psi, providing you have enough fuel to support it. You need to maximize your current combo before stepping up. Running a bigger turbo at the same boost levels you currently run with stock heads wont do much at all for hp. You will have to really crank it up to nearly 30psi for the T66 and stock heads to make more power. Call Cotton and he will hook you up when your ready.

Stock motor/heads/cam etc...standard bolt ons. 2800 stall, HD actuator with RJC boost controller, 009, alky, TT chip. Currently the TE60 spools fast. Sig times were done at 25-26# of boost.

Vacuum.....i think you could pick more power somewhere else, other than a bigger turbo. Like "Bison" said, adding a slightly bigger turbo wont net you much gains on stock heads/cam. Maybe 1-2 mph more in the 1/4. I also think you can go faster with what you have. You should be able to go mid 11's @ 115+ mph with the te60. What IC/ down pipe/ timing chip are you running? What are your goals for this car?
