Theres a few vendors selling them...

Cottons, Hartline, Full throttle...you cant go wrong with any of the supporting vendors. Low 10's or high 9s is a pretty tall request, Ur gonna need more than a turbo to get there. Good thing is those vendors have everything U will need and Im sure they would love to provide it...Good luck.

+1 pretty much got it covered

Sounds like a 66-67 Ptrim would do the trick.
You could do a 70 but that might be considered overkill.
All the suggestions here are good, I will be testing another option soon
and will report back my findings.

Honestly, and I might get flamed for this but why spend the extra $$$ on the BB turbo when you can get the same results with a standard journal bearing turbo?? IMO, take the money saved and put it towards a good matched converter for your combo from somebody like Dusty/PTC!

use tighter conv. more mile a hour more steetable i heard

In terms of streetability I'm sure one could make an arguement for the BB, but at the track I have yet to see anybody go faster when using a BB against the standard bearing.. I guess if you can use the "more streetable" factor to justify the exta cost it's appealing, but otherwise I personally think the money saved with a standard bearing unit can be put to better use elsewhere. Just my opinion:cool:

Or just do both!!!!

I think the BB turbos are better on the street in quicker cars  RACE only ??? I don't know

Good point on the cost.
what are the bb 67 and 70's going for?

Right now the board has a few good deals on non-bb 70 p-trim turbo's.
~800 for turbo
~700 tc (my guess, been awhile since I bought a tc) in 3600-3800 stall

kick ass low ten's (or better) and very streetable for 1500.

67s are about $1,300.00

I find it painful to drive a car that does not have a BB turbo. Its really that noticeable. Its probably safe to say that 99% of us drive our cars 99% of the time on the street and 1% on the track so with that in mind, it makes sense to set up for a street application.

They sure do work good.....
I'm thinking about getting another one for the wife's car.

Even with my stock cam and mildly ported heads the 6776bb feels like a TA-49 in its spool up. Of course the 10" 3200 form PTC made the difference also. Thanks Dusty...

From the footbrake @ 4 psi it will got to 25 psi in an instant! Almost time for new et streets.:frown:

That is just what I want to hear!!!
How is the family?

I have the "sissy" version of those mentioned above....only a GTB6131E (bb) and the reason I got it was that I didn't want to swap from the stock converter. It spools like the stock turbo and pulls great.....just about the best money I have spent (alky wins in that category......but that's for another thread).

Out of all the 6776bb's available, which would have the least lag based on housings etc. I need to step up my turbo, but absolutely hate lag.
