I was bead blasting some al. parts in my new bead blaster and do not like the finish it leaves. I am using Al. Oxide as my media and wondering if I need to go to glass beads to get a better finish. I was also wondering if I might need to change my psi to get a more natural finish on the aluminium parts. Now they turn out kinda grey with the Al. Oxide. any thoughts?

I've never used aluminum oxide, but glass does give it a nice sheen. Alot of times if I've got something a tad rough to blast, I'll hit it with sand first and follow it up with glass. Saves you time & money!

I think you will be happier with the glass beads.

You should get a silver sheen with beads, no gray.
