Bearings and axels

Are 30 spline axels the same diameter as 28 spline axels? Reason is I just replaced axel bearings and seals a few hundred miles ago and came across a deal on a 30 spline posi to replace my peg-legger. When I upgrade to 30 spline axels will I have to replace the bearings and seals too?
