I just purchased the Bell Tech 2" drop spindles for my GN, my question is do I need a specific shock for this application or will the OEM still work?

The only reason I ask is because Bell Tech sells a shock specific for this application. My first thought would be to just buy regular bilstiens or KYB gas shocks?

Has anyone done this suspension mod ran into this problem?

thanks
FS

I run bilsteins and they are a great improvement over their Brand ,I ran the belltechs for about 6 months then chucked em imo there crap

Nope the size of the shock does not change nor do the springs hence the use of the drop spindles ,As a matter of fact depending what size wheels you will be using a stiffer shock like Bilstein will prevent the outer edge of the tire from rubbing the inside edge of the fender ,Im running 17's and had that problem

Bilstein's are $$$$ and I don't think that I could get full use of them in a GN, what about the KYB's? They are more affordable, are they worth buying?

Thanks

TEST MY 6

Just took a look at your pictures. dude! your're all over it! Is that a 2" drop? Love the rims. What are the specifics about them? Back spacing in the back and front? and how wide did you go? 17x??

Where did you get them and how much?

Finally the BOV. This was my next venture. What can you tell me about it.

Thanks and sorry for all the questions I fell I got the " one stop shop" for questions after seeing your car; which btw ROCKS!

Frank, the KYB Gas-Adjust shocks are good shocks with a great price. I have heard that the Bilsteins have a better ride, but for the price difference, I say the KYB's are fine. I have them on my car.

Thanks for the compliments Boosted!!! I've added some more pics and all the specs on the site. I got the wheels from an american racing distributor on Long Island NY for about 1,200-Note the wheels are polished aluminum and are a p.i.t.a to keep clean, There filthy in the pics I didnt have enuf time(3 hrs) to detail them :)

Frank,

I just put the KYB gas adjust shocks on my GS with 2 inch drop springs and they ride very nice and they were only $30 each!

I just got the BelTech kit in the mail yesterday, I placed my order for the KYB's thru Summit, I placed my order with ATR for their massive rear sway bar and drive shaft loop.

On Friday I'm placing my order for my rims. I'm going to go with the Centerline Matrix style 911, five spoke.

Thanks for all the help!

Wow I just took a look at those wheels !! there gonna look sick the picture showed a 6 spoke but the 5 spoke is the way to go- Good choice:)
