Belt tensioner vs belt

Where's the boost?
Hey all, just wanted to say that I had a bit of good luck yesterday. I had been getting a lot of false knock from my belt tensioner. I figured that I would have to replace the tensioner or at the very least press in a new bearing. I noticed that my belt was looking decidely ratty, so I replaced it. The new belt fixed all of the tensioner problems. :) The new belt must have been stiff enough to pull on the tensioner and keep it from bouncing around too much.

I went from 20 degrees of knock on a 3-2 downshift to 0 degrees just by changing the belt.
