Best engine rebuild info manuals?

I just got my 86 GN engine back from the machine shop along with most of my parts. Who has the best engine rebuild manuals for our cars? I know a lot of the info is here and on GNTTYE.ORG but does anyone have any opinions on which books/manuals are the best.

Well I am from the past, but I like the Chilton manuals. Good luck finding one now, for cars this old.

Engine rebuild manuals.

A Chiltons manual would be good. I'll look for one on E-bay. I guess I want a step-by-step manual so as not to forget something. Are the factory manuals good? It's been quite a while since I've seen one. It would seem some aftermarket companies would have put out a good engine rebuild manual by now too.

I use the factory manual and the forums. Has worked for me just fine.

try Dave Williams' Web Site look for Bruce Plecan's build. It's on a 4.1, but it is well done and should be of help to you.
