Best Exhaust

I was looking and noticed I had a lot of rusted out holes in my exhaust. I then was looking online and noticed some exhaust sytems like the hooker setup is for 86-87, will they fit the hotairs too, with minor modifications? If not, what is a good exhaust, or should I just go and get it done locally?

yes you can get the 86-87 style. the only difference is where it bolts to the cat. anyways i think the best is ATR if u can find it since there no longer in business

Thanks, I'll keep a look out for the ATRs, but I will probaly be getting the Hooker or that similar setup that Kirbans sells.

I have the Hooker Cat-Back System on my '84 GN, bolts right up. The only modification i had to do was to cut off the 2-bolt flange from the old test pipe and weld it to the new test pipe, other than that, had it for about 2 1/2 years, no problems at all and still looks good. I like the sound of it, has a nice mild drone to it, but can't beat the price.

I have old rusty looking kenne bell exhaust with dynomax mufflers. As long as it is the diameter you want (2.5 or 3 inch and manderal bent) and some decent mufflers on it. Flowmasters sucks. Dynomax are good. The hooker exhaust is probably the best buy. You could then get a 2.5 test pipe 4 bolt flange's on both sides so it will connect right up to your stock downpipe and the hooker exhaust. Hooker makes one I am sure.

Do the '84's have a two bolt flange going to the downpipe? Or what are you speaking of?

Well my stock Down-pipe had a 2-bolt flange, as well as the old test pipe. The new test pipe only had a 4-bolt flange that would connect to the Y-pipe, so thats why I had to cut off the 2-bolt flange and weld it to the new test pipe to bolt up to the stock Down-pipe, can't really say if all stock exhaust are the same, but that how mines was
