Thanks to all that have supplied a wealth of info to myself and many others i am sure.What i have decided to do is keep it stock. Do the spring house cleaning and the other suggestions that will keep it stock but use 2008 tecnology. Thanks again!

so.....depending on mileage, when should timing chain/gears be done and what about valve springs? these seem to be common comments i see on the sight too. anyone have a "rule of thumb" on these?

I replaced the valve springs pretty soon after I bought my GN, I think it had around 120k when I did that.... I replaced my timing gears/chain at around 142k miles, and this is what it looked like (ran a 12.8 the week before it was replaced!)
