unfourtanatly not this season, probally. I think we would have heard about it by now. maybe next season.

Pinks was filming a pilot for their upcomming show "Pinks All Out" at the Texas Motorplex this last (09-03-06) Saturday. I will not give away what happened out of respect. However, we were told that it is scheduled to be aired in November this year. Out of 300+ cars that showed up only 16 were selected to race for $10K in cash. They were handing out $1000.00 rolls of 20's to some of the winners. I can also tell you that one of our club members made it and will make the entire Buick community proud! :D  :D

Did you read the entire thread?
Seems the car will be in the 9s once he bolts on some slicks on it...

Just think, a years worth of car payments...$14,120.40... could get any turbo Buick in the 10's. Heck by the time that z06 is paid off, my T could be a world record holder

I'm sorry, but it would still be an old Buick. I love my GN, but the new Z06s are pretty sweet and a lot of bang for the buck, even if the buck has gone up a lot with the C6 release. I love smacking down the newer stuff with my car, but it's going to take a lot more to even catch a new Z06.

Jim

The z06 and the C6 are great cars, I just think if I get in one I'll never be able to climb out, I'm not as young as I once was. Getting in and out of that cockpit is a pain, I can pop in and out of my T all day long. I'm 6'1" and 205 lbs, so I'm not fat, I just can't sit on the ground. :frown:

Good point. My dad is 64 years old and still gets in and out of his '99 Camaro SS every day (and operates the 6 speed transmission). He's in better shape than I am actually. I find the easiest way to get in the Camaro is to fall into it. The easiest way out is to just fall out onto the ground and then get up. I'm not kidding - you should try it, but not in nice clothes.

Jim

I would crawl out, then stand up, when my buddy had a Camaro. 20+ years as a flat rate auto-technician, bent over a fender, my back feels like it's 64. Now I belong in a Buick LOL

No doubt, but it's not that far ahead of it. Compare what's been done to that car, the creature comforts and drivability that have been sacrificed versus what you get with a C6 Z06 out of the box. You can't help but be impressed by them and their potential.

I said it before, I love my GN. I love to drive it, I love owning it and I love the fact that it's sitting in my garage. But if I had $80k to blow on a car the C6 Z06 would be the one hands down. I fear very little on the street but I would be a bit worried if I rolled up to one at a stoplight.

LOL! That's exactly what I do. Ask my brother, he's seen me do it countless times.

Hey guys,

I was checkin' out the pinks site http://www.speedtv.com/pinks/ and it said tonights race is an '80 Chevy Malibu Wagon against an '85 Chevy Monte Carlo.

I'm gonna put my money on the Monte Carlo...should be a good one.

It's funny to watch.
I can't beleive how difficult it seems to get in and out of those cars now that I'm used to the Regal. It almost takes the fun out of wanting to drive it. It's probably one of the reasons why dad is in such good shape.
