What he said. Look for something like a Pro-stick or a Quarter-stick.

Pro-Stick, works great, pretty easy to install and TR custom parts makes a nice console plate for it. Phil.

Not sure what trans your running, but I think one of the nicest shifters I have ever had/used is the Turbo Action Cheetah shifter. They don't make them of OD trans though.

These are like the Cheetah and work with 2004R Trans.
