Yeah, that makes more sense to me, regarding power, torque, and overall towing capability. My friend got the 454 in his Suburban and it does well on long highway trips.
One thing you hit right on was he has a 44 gallon tank and can not fill his tank up in one shot because the gas pumps shut off at fifty dollars.
