So why use the first pic you used? I would assume that would be a "today as she sits" photo. Then post a pic of a spotless GNX underhood?

You bought a GNX that looked like that first pic under the hood? I'm just trying to grasp what you're saying here.
1st pic was right when I bought it about a year ago. 2nd pic was today. The heat shield with GNX on it wouldn't fit with upgraded turbo and downpipe until I made some modifications to it. Car came with 2 heat shields.

The guy I bought it from won the car in an online raffle. He didn't know anything about it. He didn't say it was a GNX or not. He didn't know. I guess it could be a clone. I didn't buy it thinking it was definitely a GNX. I didn't know. I got it for a steal either way!! Original motor, but has been completely rebuilt. All the numbers match between VIN's and build plate. Original paint. I have just put ceramic coating on it. Interior is basically brand new. On carfax, the frame has 90K miles, but the motor has 5K since rebuild. Making 22 lbs. of boost. Runs and looks amazing!! The guy that built it really knew what he was doing. Thanks guys!!
Seems like ya got a GN in great shape. Again if nothing is wrong don’t mess with it & if you’re not running a Scanmaster, Powerlogger, or some other data logger just be careful or you’ll be doing head gaskets or more real soon.

Nothing wrong with. GN. Not my thing, I run the base Regal with a turbo & D84 paint…😆😆😆

Good luck to ya'.

I'm an '87 Turbo Regal with Code 11 white paint and a chrome package. Street mods, well, they just kept comin'.

Nice looking ride either way! Looks cloned to me. It must have been sweet for the seller to win the raffle . You mentioned you got a great deal with matching numbers, don't know who's carrying your insurance, but the VIN will dictate GN or GNX when applicable.

P.S. Welcome to the board, and disregard the grouchy old farts ,there just passionate about these cars.

well know that the grouchy OLD FARTS have debunked your GNX
This OLD FART says go for a new BB turbo after you decide how fast you want to go and what it really has under the hood

Do yourself a favor, run the Vin and get the facts so you know what you really got.

Since I and the others don't recall any GNX coming with T Tops, it's open season on this clone (I have a funnier name for these but it's not appropriate in this thread). Go slow and take your time on the mods. Read read read and then buy only after you have a future goal on the car or have a GN mentor working on it for you.

New turbos that bolt on are PTE Next Gen and HPT. Mr.Spool can slip a Comp Hubless into our ex housing I guess.
