Hey, thats me!

John your car just flat hauls a$$ and launches awesome! Nice looking ride too!!
Someday mine will finally make it down the track. I had stickers on the car to race Thursday and Friday but ended up chasing more issues and never even made it to tech. Got some much needed tuning done By Jack Cotton, the car is running awesome but I may have lifted a head.

I feel your pain on the lifted head thing. Is it overflowing coolant in the bottle? Thanks for the compliments but my car is no cream puff, it just runs good. It has needed a paintjob since I bought it in '96. I keep telling myself I will get it painted when I'm satisfied that it's fast enough.

John, engine doesnt smoke,no coolant overflowing, no bubbles, no oil in the water or vice versa. I have a noise that comes in at about 12-13 psi and up. Had several people look at the car and took them for a ride so they could hear it. Installed a HR motor mount on the passenger side to see if it was the Dp hitting the frame, no change. Turned Alky off and put 10 gallons of C16 in to see if it was ALKY related, no change. It is possible that it is lifting the head and just blowing compression/exhaust towards the header. Need to do a leak down. Weird thing is that the car pulls like crazy and will nearly turn sideways on the highway at 75.

If it's blowing out by the header you should be able to find traces of it upon close inspection. Good luck with it.

Lance is awesome. He caught my Suncoupe on a launch. The goofballs at the track taking event photos couldn't do this. They got some burnout pics and even one before staging. Why they never tried to get a launch, I don't know. But Lance rocks! I was going to get the poster, 2 shirts and 8X10 special if they would have caught a photo like this. Not bad for iron exhaust manifolds and a mild cam.
