There was a similar old black car at the nationals last year, also with a Turbo V6 - here's a picture.

I would say, that if it keeps raining year after year, usually one day minimum, they should just move the dates out or in to try and take care of the racers, and the people there to watch. It cost a good amount of money and time each year for these die hards, not to run when they want too.

This 38 Chevy Coupe with a complete TR drivetrain was a real eye catcher and a super piece of engineering. It was all put together by the owner and combined his first car (a 38 Chevy Coupe) with his favorite car (1987 Grand National).
