Why would I change it when it's working for me? My 215/220 FTS cam pulls past 6000rpm, no valve float, and nice and quiet for my street car.
So how fast do you want to go? What are your plans and goals? That would help a lot in choosing the right camshaft for this big ta motor. I wanted mid to low 9s with out a problem so Nick and Zimmerman used there knowledge and ordered the right camshaft. Maybe for what you're looking for you might already have it.

Yep, my setup is fast enough for me already. Probably too fast actually as there's no cage in it, and trapping well into the 130's. I just want to update my old 109 block with something nice. Every 2 or 3 years I take the 109 apart and there's a little bit more cast iron stuck to the main caps....

My plan is to take my heads and cam and plop them onto a nice block with a bit more compression and a street car friendly ring pack.

Question: Is anyone out there running a cast iron camshaft in a TA block? Every example I've seen posted uses a billet cam with the retainer plate.

TA aluminum block with a cast cam is just bass ackwards. That's like running cast pistons on forged rods. Why bother?

Lol yes it seems that way. I doubt anyone has set one up that way. The gallery plugs just don't permit it.

Nice build nat86!

Nick, you little scamp, you did it again........ :D
