I finally got my car running again, and it would have been a lot harder without the help of my friend Sean. He's gmpower6 on the board here. Of all the guys who I've helped build their cars, he's the only one who showed up to help me out. We worked really late, and got it done. Finished the motor on the stand, then installed it and fired it up. I've helped out a lot of people with their cars, mostly non buick guys, and they were just too busy to help me out. Shows who your friends are! I can't wait till one of them needs my help, or my tow rig, again. I bet I'm busy! And Thanks also to Nick Micale, who built this motor. Good price, good quality. I'm sure I drove him half nuts with phone calls, but he was cool about it. if it wasn't for this board, I would have never met Sean, or Nick, or half the buick guys I know. We have an awesome little community here guys. I feel like someones always got my back, ya know? Hey Sean, I owe you dinner this weekend at Morocco. See ya there!

Boy that seems like it's always the case when it's your turn to try to get somtething going and everyones got something else to do...Glad you got your car running and hopefully I can see you guys in morocco next year...gonna be hard though as I'm in Delaware right now, but I'm originally from southern Indiana and I have a bunch of friends that go to morocco.

Yeah, what pissed me off more was they some "friends" showed up at like 9:00, like we hadn't been there all day, then didn't show up to help, just watch and goof off. Its all good though, cuz every one of them knows I'll spank them if they run me, they even admit it. I forgot to mention, these guys live within 2 miles of my house, Sean lives 1 hour away and went to work at probably 6:00 in the a.m. first, and didn't leave my house until about 11:00 p.m. Meanwhile my lazy ass friends left at about 9:30 to go cruise around and check out the local scene. Thanks fellas. It'll come back around though, as one of these guys in particular can barely change his oil without my help, and its a matter of time before his pos breaks again. I'll come over, with a lawn chair and a sixer, and watch him fix it.

Turbo, you have learned one of lifes most serious lessons. It's great you have formed some good new friendships, and have discovered some are takers and some are givers. The takers are always around when in need, and the givers are always there when you need. Glad this board has been a catalyst in finding some good people. Sounds like you need some new ones. Mark

We are down to 100 degrees so no reason to leave now!

Instead of flying there, will just settle for a carryout order of the "famous" Chicago ribs.

100 degrees! If it was that hot here I would be so busy at work I wouldn't have time to work on my car. I watch the weather channel sometimes, and when I see the crazy temps you guys hit down there I shake my head. It was 117 the other day. I hope your shop has A/C! But it cools down at night, doesn't it?

With it that hot during the day, we are fortunate for it to be in the high 80's at night!

Sam, 117° there is like 100° here,,at least my Father in law (lives in Florida) finally admitted it is hot in Chicago---The west just put to much mercury in the thermometers than we do

not more mercury, just we add so much less water to our air and it helps so much.
