Biggest size 15 inch rear wheel for stock Grand National

Hi I was just wondering what is the Biggest possible 15 inch wheel I can stuff underneath the rear of my 87' GN? Please let me know the backspacing too. And tire size if possible. Thanks for any info.

I run a Micky Thompson DR that is 275/60 15 ......with no problems, and they hook well.

The biggest WHEEL I was able to use without notching the rear end was a WELD 15x10 with a 4 1/2 inch backspace. MT 275/60' s were my tire of choice.

I did have to trim the fender lip and for Goodyear 28X10.5 slicks on the same wheel I had to use a BFH on the frame so they didn't rub.

This was the look -

I've since notched the rear end and tucked 295/55/15's in there.... I believe I can go a bit fatter....

i have a 295/50/16 on a 9.5in wide 16in rim and that seems to be the limit with out rolling and notching,i do have air bags tho........

We have sold a lot of 15" x 10" wheel with 4.5" back spacing. With a 275/60/15 you will get 9.8" of tread pattern to the ground with 35lbs of air in the tire for street driving. Keep in mind when you do a 275/60/15 it is designed for a 9" rim & takes some work to get it on a 10" GN wheel. We redesigned our 10" aluminum GN rim so that a 275/60/15 would mount like it was a 9" rim.

my bad,was just giving an over all size of my tire witch is a hight of 27.8in and a tread width of bout 11in,for an overall fitment issue...
