The member named bikeaddict on this site is a no show to deal with. I sold him $313 dollars worth of stuff, it is detailed in the pm attached below. he has not been back to the site since november 30th, and has not replied to my pms or emails. Would like other members to know about this as i was trusting to a newer member, looks like he just wanted parts for free. if anyone knows anything about this guy or has any info pm me please as i would like to get my 300$ from him. I will admit that it did take me some time to get this stuff together, as i was very very busy and i cut him a break for it, but i did not expect this in return.

not sure if you got my last messages..I would like a tracking number before i pay on paypal. I think that would be fair, otherwise i will wait till i recieve the parts, unless you have another idea. please get back to me. thanks.

shipped them off yesterday, shipping total was 33$. so thats $313 total. not sure when it will be there, on account of holiday season and i got the cheapest shipping. The next least expensive one was 65$ so i didnt think you would mind waiting a little longer to save 30 bucks. thanks for your time i appreciate it. if you want to send money order or paypal its up to you.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. You shipped off the parts "before" receiving payment???

Have you ever bought anything from a store and took it home before you paid for it? No. Why should selling here be any different. If the buyer isn't willing to put the money up first, then that person isn't worth dealing with. I think your honesty is to be applauded, but it unfortunately cost you this time. Consider this a lesson learned and don't let it happen again.

If the buyer actually contacts you to remit payment, consider yourself lucky.

I just bought a main bracket from Gary. He also sent it before I paid for it. That was a first for me. I sent him a Paypal within minutes of reading his e-mail. I commend Gary in his faith in his fellow man, but there are those that lack integrity and would gladly take advantage.
Usually, as a seller, I wait for payment either by MO or Paypal. At that point, I send the buyer a scan of the Post Office receipt for confirmation that the item is indeed on it's way. As a buyer, I check the boards for negative feedback and if all is clean, I take a chance and send the money. Although there are exceptions to the rule in everything. Luckily, I have had many excellent transactions with fellow board members without incident The only problem I have run into is the shipping to Canada thing or the ever aggravating UPS fiasco.

no he is from canada.

Gary
Is the guy you are having problems with ( bikeaddict ) from Canada? If so, can you tell us his name and city? If he is close to me, maybe I can contact him for you.

I am sure there are a few guys from Calgary on this board. Maybe they know of or can contact him directly. I am about 200 miles north of Calgary in Edmonton. Calgary has a respectable club with decent guys that are local to him.

thats what i like about this tight Buick community... I hope this gets worked out for ya "itsnotagn"
