OK guys, this is what im looking for,im looking for a place that makes custom Billboard for when im at car show it gives you a break down of what the car has. This year im planning to due more car shows

This is an interesting question. The custom boards seem pretty steep. I've seen a few at a couple of car shows...

Can anyone post up pics of some of their homemade examples?

that would help if any one has any pictures of their homemade boards

Here is my old one. Done by a local sign/media company. A little over $100 total including the artwork and layout. Core board with lamination so it did not ruin if became wet.

Buy a piece of smoked plexiglass and take it to your local pinstripe guy my dads sign is hangin in his garage i dont have a pic of it but he had it done at the same time as his buick gs when he had the car in the detroit autorama years ago...

This sign sits in front of my car at car shows. The point of the showboard is to tell the highlights of the car.

Most boards dont have pics of the car on them cause when you display it the car is there for them to see the board just tells all you have into the car,the names of people/shops contributed to making the car what it is today etc etc ..sometimes people even will put a scrap book down showing the stages of the build also...

My point exactly turboc87gn. Marketing and presentation experts will tell you that you will only have a persons attention for a short period of time when reading a sign such as this. If they are staring at the pictures for a period of time, they may not "take" all the information in when they read the text. They also may not even look at the car as close. Let them read the text and then inspect the car first hand to see what it's all about. No pictures also saves you $75 or more in production costs.

Homade .....

Cheap frames from HobbyLobby, MS Word, card stock, plexiglass (to replace glass - no breaky wind damage:biggrin: ) <$25 ea. plus my time. 'Got Boost?' and 'Whine me up!' done on shiney chrome faced paper and white sign (card stock) all printed with a garden variety inkjet printer.

This frame in available in either chrome pkg. or WO2 trim.;) Fits and sits nicely under hood behind either the stock or replacement AC parts you may have noticed.

Pictures are showboards and my wife and I @ a local park cruise.

I also bought small unfinished wood easels at the HobLob to display showboards at about bumper level on the ground (not pictured). The easel had to be spray painted and gets used occasionally but with a nice convenient underhood location why put the board out there for some careless a---- to knock over. Easels were an addtional $10 each but we don't use them.

BTW - Looks real nice Frank!
