hello; I finally got around to install my scanmaster. Sounds like a simple install but now to get a few items like a
.125 blade conn. and some wire. Why don't the vendor who manufacturs them just add a few blade conn. and some wire. I couldn't find the .125 and all I could find was .187 and .250 so I had to cut down the conn. to get it to fit and the wire the smallest ammout I could get was 25' rolls. The items are not alot of money but I thought it sucked chasing to find them.That is my B/W why don't they just package what's needed and it would of saved me a headache and a trip the could of been avoided. I am going to let the vendor know my thoughts.

Did you check radio shack? They sell the .125 connectors.

hello; Yes I tried Radio Shack and that place is a joke now for stuff like that. While I was there the people that was shopping where looking for phone choices even the kid working was saying that they use to sell allot of auto sound systems but no more. I had to go to a place called U Do It Electronics and that was out of my way.

Go back to radioshack. Pick up a pack of pin connectors. They fit perfectly in the ALDL Slot. A 1/4" spade for inside the ign slot on the fuse box. And finally I used an open ended connector to slide onto a bolt under the radio. I have extras of all of them, so I can send you some free of charge if they can't be found.

hello; I drove around a while today and I couldn't read the scanmaster most of the time. Today is bright and very humid today in Mass. and it's going to change according to the weather man. I got the SC sitting on the section above the radio, angled at me and I bought that cover for it also. I got the cover angled up as I could tell reading it was going to be a problem.. B/W continues as I would like the readout to be a bit bigger and brighter.

Move ur scanmaster.....Put it on the dash in your line of sight and youll have no prob seeing it..It wasnt made to be viewed from an angle and it defeats the purpose of having it if you cant see it when you drive....Theres a thread on here somwhere that has a lot of pics of everyones scanmaster mounting positions.....I do agree for the $ it should come with the install hardware...Esp since they all install the same way its not like each car is different...
