MY blms are the but as soon as I hit the gas they get pegged at 128. Is it because the Reds 92 chip? I heard they run fat on the bottom and lean on top?

Question is, have they always been like this, or is it a recent change that caused them to go low.

Well Dave I just installed a new o2 sensor. Before i did that they were very high, but i wasnt getting any readings from the o2 sensor which is why i got a new one. After I replace the o2 my code 44 and 45 were still there untill I resetted the ECM. That's as much as I know. What do you think?

OK today under part throttle I got a 900 o2 count  I dont know why since I took of the adjustable regulator and went to a stock fuel regulator. Blm's are low about 90-115. Everything else is where it should be. Dont know why this engine is running so rich. Oh yeah I dont have any knock @17psi buts its killing my spool up.

Hmmm, couple things to think about.

What O2 sensor did you install?

Got an extra chip laying around you can try. Different brand or something?

Thanks Dave for answering, I installed ac delco cant remember the part number. My other chip is a red armstrong 106 race chip. Do you think that the stock regulator maybe bad and it's allowing to much fuel to go through?

you can send it to Jay and get some fuel removed from the chip.

I just sent mine to him for some tweaking myself...
Jay is a great guy to deal with on chips and will work with you on your problem.

also if you have a hotwired walbro pump most likely you fuel pressure wont drop at idle due to the return line being too small on our cars.

check fuel pressure with vacuum off then stick the hose on at idle i bet it dont go down very much at all.

on mine i cant get my pressure to adjust any lower than 40# but since im about to do an upgrade to my entire fuel system im not going to worry about it right now

Im having Jay back some bottom end fuel out the chip and will live with it till i get a desent fuel system.

Thanks Red I guess since thats my only alternative I should wait to add my 55 lb's injector then send the chip program and get it recalibrated for those injector's. I' going to turn up the boost to 18 lbs on pump gas and see if i get any knock. It's at 17.5 now not bad for pump gas huh?

I guessed you had 009s and reds chip when I saw the title. Same thing here - 90 at idle.

Put testa's chip in. :)

Well now I'm at 18.5lbs and no knock. Car is still running filty rich should I increase the boost?

Return line being too small

Not really. If that were the case I should have had all sorts of trouble several years back when my double pumpers WEREN'T staged (both ran all the time). I was even running a 237 regualtor back then

No, the only time the return line is going to be a problem is if it got kinked some how.

But you do need to make some quantative fuel pressure checks. LIne on/line off ratio while at idle.

That won't help the idle numbers though.

you trying to say your double pumpers couldnt out flow a 1/4" line

you had some weak pumps...its been proven...i'll have to dig up some testing on it that was done by cal hartline...but he may not know either

Not really trying to say anything specific, just relaying my experiences. The double pumpers I had didn't overwhelm my return line. Were they no good? Don't know, they were new, and only in there for about a year, then switched to their staged setup.
