One of these cars was at our local 1/8th mile track the other night. How much do those things cost? Whatever it is, it's too much. He was turning low 9's!? What a slug.

Do you know stuff he had from dinan? It might just be a badge. I know they want at least a grand for a cat back system. My father has a old 535 he was going to buy some stuff for but the prices from dinan far exceed the value of his car.

I have no idea what the car had. I just saw the Dinan badge on the back. I think a true Dinan has a supercharger, plus some other stuff. Sure was slow off the line.

I went to Dinan website some time ago and I think the SC was about 8 grand.

I am not good at 1/8 mile times so what would that be in the 1/4?

It'd be too slow for how much that guy spent unless that translates into mid 9 second passes. I believe a real dinan m3 is over 80 grand

9 usually equates to 14's. 8.99 is about a 13.99

High 9's: 9.8's up is usually low 15's.

Dinan badge could mean anything- a chip, exhaust or a full blown package. ET doesn't indicate HP if the car can't hook up. If it ran 9.0's at 87 mph I'd be impressed as he could be making 350 HP at the crank.

If it ran 9.5's at 74 mph, thats about 220 Net HP at the crank. not very impressive.

Well I guess we should all be happy that we didn't waste a s**tload of money on that thing. Give me my TR's anyday over those over priced german "muscle" cars

Straight 1/8 mile or 1/4 mile times are NOT what these cars are about.I own an 02 325----pretty slow from a straight line point.Everything else about the car is amazing----I am one of the biggest regal supporters there is----but sometimes things get lost with the concept of straight 1/4 mile runs. These cars have better build quality than the general could ever hope for--------each car has there own claim to fame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:)
