Damn Bruce you have to quit working so much. I hurt myself all the time, wife says she is going to pack me in bubble wrap. I think I hurt myself so I can sit around and do nothing :D That is a nice shop, and looks like a nice property:cool: Well due to recent activity on this thread I am postponing my yard work to play in the shop and go for a hike with my dog:LOL: hope the heeling goes well

BUBBLE WRAP!!!!:ROFLMAO: Jeez, that really is a good one! I'll tell my wife that one.
Sorry, can't slow down....doing the other side of the garage with the pressure washer Saturday, pain and all.....can't afford to quit, too much to get done.
I'm tempted to go play in my shop, too, thanks to you. Really tempted.
The healing......well, the older one gets the longer it takes. What I usually do all of the time is get the job done, THEN hurt like a SOB! Not really a choice for me.
Glad you like the garage....it's beyond my wildest dreams....I still pinch myself when I go out to it. And I thank the Lord for it every day.

Have a safe walk with your dog. I love dogs myself....great animals! They can love you like no other.

Jeez, Joey! Now that really sucks! And I thought I was the only one here trying to commit suicide!!!! With those cracked ribs, you are GOING to HAVE to take it easy!! For quite a while! I sure appreciate your suffering.....we'll suffer together...have a cold beer and watch some "R" rated action movies for a while.
I wholly agree with you....we DO live in parallel universes! Well put. Damn, of all the luck.
Thanks for reminding me NEVER to kick 2x4s! I'll stick with furring strips!
Truly sorry for your serious injury, Joey. Get well and take it easy. If you want me to come up and get your gorgeous Turbo Buick to bring down here to "guard" for you, just let me know. (First let me check to see if my passport is up to date.:LOL:

Thanks Bruce. I hope you feel better as well. I think I'll take your advice on self medication with alchohol. I prefer wine. This way it puts me to sleep so I'm not going crazy thinking about all this stuff. I'll have my "better half" start up the grill later and make a big-ass charred and bloody thick piece of

Well, you'll probably live longer if you let your wife wrap you in Bubble Wrap! Just don't share the "Wesson Oil" stories here.....it's a family forum.o_O:p

Now THAT'S a great better half! Count yourself lucky.......take it easy, Okay? Cracked ribs take a while to heal.....as well as a "cracked head".

Well, it is finally official. Spring prep on the TR has just begun! And now my activity on this board will also begin to slow down as well.

I wen't to the garage today for the first time since October to do some work. Unfortunately, I'm still nursing my cracked ribs so things are going very slow. I got around to draining the old fuel out of the cell and putting it in the daily driver. Also, I pulled the plugs. Didn't put the new ones in yet. Connected the battery. Played around with the LED tail lights (3 panels per side). Put the new license plates on. New registration on the window. In general, just messing with stuff.

Afterwards, I came home to a big steak on the grill and 3 glasses of wine.

Tomorrow I hope to hit it hard. I'll attempt to get under the hood and under the car and get some fluids done. Along with some other stuff. I'll take it slow but I can't sit around. As long as I don't sneeze or cough I'll be fine.

I went on TB, GNTYPE and there is no activity, kinda sad :( T6P is gone and I think as these cars get older we will be just like there older brothers ( 60-70 Buicks) . They have I think 2 boards and only one is populated. Lets face it these cars are getting fewer and fewer every year. Heck I have scrapped 3 or 4 myself.

I believe the recent slow down can be attributed mostly to people just being more busy with the coming of spring. However, I do agree that we are shrinking in numbers, and have been since the mid 90's. But for the few of us that remain, the need to exchange information will always be needed.

I have owned my TR for 20 years. I joined the board about 6 months ago.I never followed it and no information from anyone on it was used to build my ride. I always was socially active in the Buick world though. There are other means to stay connected. Also I personally know a great many people who monitor the board and never post.

Unlike our older Buick brothers, our technology is still growing exponentially. We can more easily benefit from advancements made with other new-tech Hot-Rods groups. And we can build on these theories and make them work for us. Alcohol injection, E-85, new turbocharger design, computer controlled engine management, coil-on-plug ignition systems, are all somewhat recent innovations that the TR guys have embraced and made work for them. Performance handling is another. I wouldn't be surprised if direct port injection was to come in future head designs. Why start over on some new platform when you have everything you need to build already on your Buick?

This is a wonderful time to be the owner of the "real first high-tech American made Hot-Rod". Let those who can't hang get out now. For the rest of us die-hards, we shouldn't waste our time schooling them. We have some building to do!!

Hey Bruce, next time you get a bee in the house do yourself a favor and use a vacuum cleaner to suck it up. ;)
