new to alky and was wondering with my setup what i should expect boost wise from meth and 93 octane and what times also. i know every car is different just curious what other guys with 49's and basic bolt ons are running. my times in sig are race gas and stock intercooler now i have alky and duttneck. thanks brian

I would say your times are going to be around .1 to .2 better. You may be able to run 1 or 2 pounds more because of the better flowing neck, but I'm not sure where the 49 would stop producing any more power and just blowing more hot air. Some have been able to run more timing with methanol than with C16, so if upping the boost doesn't result in higher MPH, then up the timing.

I ran an 11.87 with C16 on a cool day. Pretty much same set up as far as boost and timing ran the 11.92 on a warmer day with Razors kit & 91 octane. I'm hoping my frame braces will help the 60's and getting the tune dialed in, as I am looking for an 11.5 at altitude.

My combo did 11.2 with 93 and 26 pounds of boost. I finally got some a data logging device to get it tuned better. I too rich in first and second then too lean. I did do a 7.1 in the 1/8.( not sure how that translates)

I'm running 22 lbs of boost on my TA-49, Duttweiler neck, 93 octane & meth. 100% stock engine with good exhaust, rjc pp & 60 lbs injectors. I'm sure i could push a little more boost into it but i'm satisfied with this.

with basics on a stock motor TA49 and 93/alky dutt with rest of combo pretty close to yours, running 25-26psi it was running 11.7s 111-113,
also had 2800 10" protorque lockup converter so i could leave with almost 0 boost and still launch hard even with the .82 exhaust housing
timing was 27/22, locking converter at line
leaving in D (not using overdrive)
times in sig had 25psi or so first and second gear , just over 30psi in third gear

I haven't been to the track yet with my new turbo & alky combo. and is currently set at 22 degrees timing & 22 lbs. of boost. A very conservative tune so far. The car has run some 11.90's in the past on slicks / race fuel with the stock turbo & i'm just looking to do the same on pump gas, alky, drag radials and the TA-49. It feels strong....... hopefully strong enough?
