My car has a john craig TE-61 turbo on it with an integrated wastegate and a little "handle" to control boost. I really would love to go electronic (Greddy profec B, etc, etc)....... My question is , what do i need to do this.........and have any of you gone to electronic boost control as well? ( Cool part with these is that you can make it gear specific=lower boost in 1st so you can get more traction on the street).

Spend $500 on that, or $150 on a BstC from ramchargers that's all you'll really need. Just need to mess with the wires to the ECM a little and it'll control the stock bleeder solenoid. You get a dial to adjust boost, and you can set up some DIP switches in the back to scale boost back in 3rd/4th or do other things like have a hobbs switch cut boost as a failsafe. It's very flexible, simple, and economical. One of the best mods on my car.

I've found some used Greddy Profec B elec boost controllers for about $200.......i think they'd do an even better job. My questions is this now; how do you hook up the lines to the solenoid if all i have is the internal wastegate with an "arm" on it?

Hi,
i have the greedy unit.i use a racegate but in the instructions there is also a layout to use it with a factory style wastegate.if you buy one just make sure the instruction book comes with it.it should work very well.i will never go back to the "primitive" bleeder style controller.
