Boost controller mounting

Here is my setup, easy to adjust and I don't burn my hand.............

Glad you found it , I usually post the link , but I don't know how to do it from my phone .

Do you currently run that set up? If so, how did you run the cable. Looks like the longest it is is 6'? Did you mount the boost controller close to the firewall?

I have the Hallman Pro, manual knob inside the car under the dash. Sorry don't have a pic right now.

After year of getting tired of getting out the car and popping the hood to adjust the boost controller and also guessing on how much boost it was going to make I mounted mine in the car so when I was in boost I could adjust it to where I wanted it . There was no difference in the performance just more vacuum line and I would suggest mounting it in the car to anyone that asks .

I keep mine simple,i like simple!

I use the Turbonetics mbc and mount it to the turbo heat shield in the front using the right side mounting bolt with the control knob facing upward. Easy to get to for making adjustments if needed. Although i never make adjustments,i set the mbc for the max boost (21 psi) and leave it alone. You know, "set it and forget it" works for me.

I have bought another Turbonetics mbc that will allow for higher boost settings and will allow me to use the dual nozzle Alkycontrol kit but haven't installed the mbc yet.

But that might tempt me to raise the boost too high and start breaking things.

I like keeping my car running good, and fast but not on the edge.lol

My take on MBC is that they are all practically the same I have had all the high dollar MBC and my $10 eBay special performed exactly the same as the $100 turbonetics . All it is a spring that puts tension on a ball . U adjust spring pressure and when the boost pressure overcomes the spring it opens .

Ebay is where i bought my Turbonetics mbc and it was no where near $100.00 shipped.

Thats why i shop on ebay. Lower prices you just have to maybe shop a little longer to find the right deal on just about anything.

My Grimspeed MBC. It's notched for measurement so you have a reference point. Every notch is .25 psi. Four notches equal approximately 1 psi of boost. I like to set it and be done with it.

Hell...no need to. I just went back to re-read thecdescriotion and it says it comes with 2 spares..i gotta read better.

They should be replacements for higher or lower boost pressures. The one that came with/in mine works fine. I run 22-24lbs of boost. It should have come with printed instructions.
