I have a autometer boost guage installed in my car, problem is it won't register anything. The line is tapped to the front of the manifold, I took the boost guage out and gave it a small burst of compressed air and it moved, so I know the guage works, (it was also in my Talon and worked fine). Next I put my finger on the vacuum hose on the guage side and started the car up, I have great vacuum but it never blows air, its sucking air? If its suckling air, how is it ever going to register on my boost guage if it needs to have air blown into it, not sucked out? I hooked everything back up and took the car for a drive and gave it a little gas to go, still no reading? Anyone have any ideas? Like I stated before its a autometer boost guage, not boost and vacuum, but i can verify their is vacuum, and that the boost guage works when air is blown into it, but when the guage is hooked up to the vaccum line I get nothing. Which makes sense if its sucking air and I need air to blow into the guage. Thanks ahead of time.

Try tapping into one of the lines going to the boost solenoid. One of the lines will work, I cannot remember which one though.

just an idea maybe its the line hose runnin from ur manifold tp ur gauge could be clogged? just a guess. I recommend the copper line fittings

Is it a vacuum and boost guage? If so, it should be reading vacuum when the car is idling or driving under normally. When just idling it should be sucking air not blowing. It should read some vacuum especially if you tapped into the front of the manifold. That port is no different from the one on the back. Also consider the possibility that the guage may be faulty, or is you're using any plastic T's on the hose that they may be the culpret as well. HTH

Did you maybe hook it up to a vacuum line that has a check valve, so that it never sees boost? Try T-ing it off of a line right as it comes out of the intake/vacuum block.

Striaght line to intake, the line isn't clogged I feel vacuum on the guage side when car is on. Guage works, I blew compressed air into it and it registered. The guage is a boost gauge only, not boost/vacuum, but i know I have vacuum as stated above. I'm going to recheckl everything today, can't imagine what it is. If I have vacuum then I should have boost? Maybe the wastegate isn't opening up? I defenitely can hear the turbo spool, and my digital guage shows boost, but its inaccurate along with my digital tach. I did have the turbo rebuilt when I rebuilt the engine, possible something in the wastegate actuator got messed up?
