My boost line leaving the turbo housing has partially melted internally near the fitting causing the minimum controllable boost to be around 18 psi. I thought that my usage of an AN fitting and braided line would not have presented this problem. However, for the second time in 6 months I have experienced a situation where this happend. Should have I used a different type of reinforced hose? This line is less than a year old, so I don't think age is a problem. Actual pics of the installation are below. Any experienced help would be appreciated.

The only reason I can see this happening is due to heat. I would guess the AN fittings and the braided line are holding heat being reflected by your heat shield. Just a guess though. HTH
