Boost Question

Hey guys I have a 85 with stock turbo non IC. When im power brakin it, it seems like its havein a hard time building boost. I have 3 in Exhaust but both headers have a crack in them. Would that do it? Also what all would has my MIL light come on? like my check engine like on? I dont know if its the O2 or what? thanks

Cracked exhaust headers cause the o2 sensor to go wild and freak out the ECM. Repair or replace the exhaust headers so they do not leak. You really need a scan tool in order to get some real help. I have been in you situation and it takes alot of research and there are no quick fixes. Brad

yea i know. Im reparing the drivers side or should i saw trying becuase i dont have the moeny for new ones. and a scan tool i cant put on this car because its a 85 ECM. Also off this subject but anyone know what a good shift kit would be for my stock 2004R would be?

Header / Exhaust Manifold leaks will cause all kinds of probs.
Turbo-Link will work with the 85 ECM. You need a laptop.
It will have a limited data stream.
