CA

Hey there

I did that on a sensor for a H**da I used to have (Yes, it should be a curse word) and I used CA (Cyanoacrylate) glue to glue it back on. You can get this stuff from hobby stores and probably the Depot. It comes in little tiny tubes. It dries quick and is ery strong. Don't use much, less than a drop and stick it on for 2-3 secs and that would be it.

I expect a full report in the morning.

Move your hose over to the other nipple, and leave the broken one open to the air.

the other nipple is gone also, other owner must have "slow" like me. will look for some ca

thanks

for less than the time and effort you put into "repairing" it, you could prolly pick up a used one.

should i just buy an adjustable one? i had one on my SVO from Ric Gillis, any recomendations

NO, just get a stock replacement solenoid. You DONT need an adjustable one. Let the ECM do the boost controlling. You'll probably be ready to go with an adjustable boost controller at some point anyway, and it can be wired right into the stock solenoid.

ok thanks.....$$$$ heres the money! anyone have one? " if its broke dont fix it, buy a new one! "

Yes!!!

I have one, somewhere. Email me your address!

BTW, I had oil and whatnot in the hoses for the watsegate solenoid. I am not sure if it can be cleaned. I asked here but didn't get a straight answer.

i'd have to disagree with turbo dave. i have one of the adjustable quick spool ones, and think its great. i now have FULL controll over how much boost i run, if i want 10#, then thats what i get. if i want 20, i can have it with the rurn of a dial.

If you want i'll send you the stock unit i have on my car that isnt' used, that is if wlaukaitis can't find his anywhere.

if its a street only car then the stock controller isnt' bad, i'd still rather be able to turn the boost down to 10# just so its a bit better on gas, but thats your choice. I'm just very happy with mine.

I think one of us misunderstood (probably me). I thought he was talking about some adjustable solenoid (never knew there was such a thing for our cars).
What I was refering to (and my recomendation), is to get an adjustable controller for the solenoid. Something like what I use, the Boost Command (BstC). Or any one of the much more expensive one's if desired.

now i think i'm confused. i'm talking abut a little ball valve that goes directly inplace of the stock black plastic thing on the passenger valve cover. i think sinful6 sells them. might be someone else.

its similar to the ones sold on ebay, as far as the way it controlls boost (end result) but it does it in a different way that lets you spool faster.
