I bought a Gn today, car had a. Steadfast steel collar around the column ( I removed ) question is the owner lost the door keys, and the ignition key cylinder is aftermarket
So how do I get either new Door Key cylinders with the ua6 anti theft option or rekey mine ??
And what about a new key column cylinder ?
I think the column I can get from my auto parts store
But who Carries the door stuff
Thanks

Highway Stars carries them. Both types, with or without anti theft option. Don't know about column cylinder.

Back in the day i got a whole column from g body parts with a key for $100, gotta do it again because somebody tried to steal my current car.

Can't GM cut keys based on the VIN? Might be the easiest route with your doors.

Idk about you but I would never use something like that with the old keys, I would get new tumblers installed no matter what... Say the keys aren't really lost or some one had taken them from that guy and the see your gn and have the keys that you just got remade instead of getting a whole new set... I don't like to hate on other people but there are some who would do low things to get their hands on these cars

A "good" locksmith can make a door key by impression without removing the lock. :)

Remove the door panel and pull the lock cylinder out of the door. Pull the trunk cylinder out too. Then remove the glovebox. Take all 3 to a locksmith and tell him you want one key to work on all 3. See how much he charges. It's not a high security key. He can probably do it while you wait.
