A korn fed Kansas boy was seen hanging out with a hairy faced reprobate and a redneck from the Carolinas.

If any of these people were in the witness protection program sorry

It was very nice meeting you and your wife. You are both wonderful people... You should get her to post in the health-care thread, she made some wonderful points...

Please email me this full quality when you get the chance:biggrin:

Shane, Good to meet you guys too. Gary, scott, turbofish38 (there are more but I'm old and can't remember) of you even Ty. :D

I'll tell you what I'll do on the pictures. I shot probably a couple of hundred photos over the past 4 days. Let me get home and figure out how many CD's it will fit on. If folks would then send me a SASE CD mailer I'll burn them CD's and send them out.

had a wonderful time, seeing old friends, & meeting a few new ones. car ran well, best of a 9.43 @ 143mph on 16psi. ;) the best part of the trip was being able to back the car out of the trailer & driving it back into the shop under its own power!!!

Congrats Steve!! Sounds like you have a runner!

Yup everyone left early afternoon Saturday. After Odel's crash on Friday at 2 PM, it downpoured and racing was cancelled the rest of the night. I don't recall any cars going down the track Saturday. There were a ton of nice cars there too. I feel sorry for the car show people trying to put up with that crappy weather and all the mud pits around the track:(

I think all the rain followed me home  I had a great time this yr guys and like steve said before it was great seeing some old faces and meeting new faces.

congrats steve on the fast pass with no breakage;)

Good to meet all you guys too.....great turnout but not so good weather....the most cars/people ive seen in years.......i finally got three test runs in on sat ,and as i figured i have alot of tuning to do.

Why were eliminations not run on Saturday ?.......and what happened to the prize money that was earmarked for the event ?

I have some still photos of your launch. Looks like you were leaving soft. On all but the last one.

Why were eliminations not run on Saturday ?
The rain from the day/night before kept seeping back up onto the track every time it was dried off - especially on the big end. By the time the track was good enough to start letting cars down the track, most people had left.:(

I canceled all the racing Sat. for just the reason Scott described above. By the time the track was dry enough to send any cars down a good many had already left for home trying to beat the weather. I opened up test and tune once I fealt the track was safe enough and that wasn't until mid afternoon. I didn't want to shaft those that left or make those that stayed feel obligated to run if they didn't feel safe on the track after the weather that we had. The GSCA payouts will roll over into next year. As for the payouts from the classes themselves, that is something that each racer will have to take up with the RRA for that class. I hope this answers your questions.

Jim C.
