Expired seat belt and no ground strap from the fuel cell to the frame! But Jegs is just down the road you can buy all the parts u could poss need I guess thats why they sponsor National Trail and Summit sponsors Norwalk two totally different tracks, especially when it comes to a Turbo Buick event. They would not tech one racer because his helmet expired tough tech team.

I heard TSM and TSO only had a combined count of 5 cars. Down over 50% from the year before. :o

A third TSO car didn't make tech and was sent home, thankfully he got some beer and a T-shirt for his efforts... Might be more than the winner of the class got??

Not sure this is 100% accurate, as I heard it second hand.

WE Paid out $1800 to that class even though they did not have a full Field total payouts was over $13000.00

We tried to run tso but you said ask Renee she said ask Cal and Don Cruz told us he fixed it so we can't.
I pointed this out because you had WE in capital letters. If it really was WE you should of had the power to let us in tso with a tsm car.:D

TSO has its rules as does TSM...would you allow Cruz to run in your class...or maybe in THS...WE the BPG do not make those rules. WE only get involved in track issues. It would have to be Cal's decision as the TSO head to bend those rules...other wise I BPG WE could put a V8 car in the class...

I heard about this and would like to know why he was not allowed in TSO??
I know a few other racers were welcomed into TSO at the TB nationals , so EXACTLY what was the deal?? If Im stirring the pot then so be it , but I would like to have an explanation other than he is not in the click!! Mike:cool:

Ok looks like I got in behind Seans post instead of in front of it , so OK Cal why was this decesion made?? I thought JD and maybe a few others were allowed into TSO at the TB Nationals. Why the sudden change?? Im sure there is an explanation , I would just like to hear it. Thanks Mike

you would have to ask Cal...The BPG invited these classes to Run...but They are responsible for who races in those classes...they have their own peer tech in which the BPG does not get involved...The Track does the safety Check...if the car met the TSO regulations I do not see why it could not switch class but that is not the BPG's call...its the Class Representative to make that call not the BPG

Just to be clear, I did not run TSO in North Carolina, I ran TSR ans THS!!

JD

JD , Thanks for cearing that up for me. Question is , is there any reason (rules) that would disqualify you from running TSO if the car count was low??
Hope to see you in BG!! Will have a beer with your name on it.
Thanks Mike:cool:

There were 5 cars in TSM. 2 that qualified didnt make eliminations and only 3 showed up at the call.I was told my helmet didnt pass in tech and had to borrow one from the tower to Race.Enjoyed seeing everyone.I learned a little about the tune on the car this weekend and think I can start turning it up.I am getting comfortable in the seat and hope to get a little more competitive.
Right now I have the 2 step set at 3750 the shift points at 5800 and the boost at 24PSI
Oh I forgot for a second that is the legal limit

LOL... A TSM car is legal in TSO. Ronnie, it's pretty obvious that you were a threat to win and you were not allowed to race.... The outcome of the TSM race was altered last year so why not just keep bending the rules to suite some peoples needs....

Was there ever peer tech in TSO when nobody was racing the class?? Who was the peers??

No wonder the classes are dying....

I had a good time and as a poor working guy the payout is appreciated .

Thanks to all the sponsors . :)

Tim, the tech for me has never been as tough as Columbus. They checked everything, made me remove a camera from the car, ect. If you do a search on National trail here on the board from last year this is nothing new what you went through and it was expected by ever racer and was made very public. I'm surprised your friends you hung out with didn't give you the 411 before you drove 5 hours for nothing...

No one ever approached me about this. I am the one who suggested the payouts pay to 8 places just to try and increase car count, In fact I asked several racers if they would try running TSO just to increase car count. I am sure Tim's car would have been welcome.

Hey Ted why do you come on here to stir crap or you just bored ,whatever the case you need to get your fact and fiction straight before you speak . ;)

We were going to ask you Sunday but you were gone so we gave up. We asked Don C, Sean R, and Renee on Saturday.
Who was tso race director on Sunday?
We would have raced for free that's how bad we wanted to race. Looked like we had a decent chance of winning from what I seen all weekend.

Hey Ronnie what happen with the car heard t-brake problems talk with you soon .:)

Out of the 16 hits we put on the car it was it only happened 3 times. Once each day for some reason it was pulsing. Bring that iron headed monster to BMC. :D
