Brand New TE45 from Broke1

Picked up the TE45 from Drew on the 18th of February. Just got around to reclocking it and found carbon in the exhaust side. PM'ed and Emailed Drew for an explanation and so far no response.

Sorry to hear that, but even looking at the pictures it doesn't look new. Scratches on the compressor housing, look how dark the exhuast blades & exhaust bolt are just a repaint.He definatley got you if he said it was BRAND new and not like new but maybe there is an explination.

Ive explained to Frank that its actally a rebuild w all new parts(minus shaft and housings).Like I said Frank,ill be more than happy to fully refund your $$$.To me,fresh is fresh....FWIW I had $650 plus shipping in the rebuild,$75 in the high temp,not to mention the cost of the turbo.If youd like a refund,lemme know.

Majorboost,I think you should get your eyes checked if you think the exh wheel has been painted.This surely isnt a Krylon rebuild.New wheels,new backing plate,new rebuild kit,balanced,etc.NEW TURBO.

20/20 here buddy, need your reading mechinism checked, bottom line that turbo wasn't brand new, rebuilt=used also never said the blades were painted but looked carboned up witch means it's been used also the bolts have rust on them and the housing has scatches.Never said there was anything wrong with the turbo just it was not new rebuilt maybe not new, abviously he thought he was getting a brandy newy one. At least your trying to be cool about it.

Let's end this, Drew offered to make it right and the price for a rebuild with the high-temp coating is fair when you consider I didn't pay any shipping.

I started this thread because I felt that we in the Buick community should be able to deal with each other with a degree of trust, not like making deals on Ebay.
