Yeah. And I even built the block truing fixture they block sits in. The $2800 BHJ unit was just a datum plate (for one side) and I knew I could do better with some plate I found on the ground at the scrapyard.

after 10 minutes of searching I usually find it in my back pocket

It was actually pretty funny. We were in an old 4cyl S10 and that plate was VERY long. The truck only had about 30 pounds on the front tires. It was pretty hairy getting back to the shop.

And when we got back, and attack kitten adopted us and applied for the job of 'mouser'. (and wouldn't take ''no'' for an answer!)

The plate was much more manageable after cutting off two big chunks!

There ya go! I tell ya, after age 50 I can't rember where I set a screwdriver 10 seconds after I used it!

That's why we have many screwdriver sets!
