BRF gov??

whats up everyone i was wondering if someone possibly had a BRF gov for sale, because im thinking my car has the wrong one in it but im not positive. it does have a small and large weight on it, with only one spring, so that makes me think its correct, but the nylon gear is a bright orange, not the faded dull orange color its supposed to be. and my speedo is way off. any suggestions or help woudl be great cause it over revs in every gear unless i get off the throttle. thanks

The is another plastic gear (driven gear I think) that if you got the wrong one also it will cause the speedo to be off.

yeah im thinking both of them are wrong, so i really only need the gears, are they a dealer only part???

When I picked up the parts that I needed to correct the problem of the speedo I had someone purchased it for me and it was genuine GM parts. Bet be is to call someone that will know what you will need to replace it.

Was this a problem before of it just all of the sudden the speedo went off?

Tyler, If that's the trans you bought from me, it is a BRF Gov, and the driven gear is the right one. It over revs in all gears? Did you look to see if the spring came out? I would think not, since I set screwed it in. How's the TV adjustment?

hmm paul you may be mistaken, cause i havent bought a trans from you before. but i think i do have the right gov in there, i gotta check the driven gear now to see if thats correct. and yeah it does over rev in every gear. and the tv adjustment is a few clicks softer than the factory setting.
