Looking for a motor for my 84 regal. Due to money issues I've got to get this going and sell my truck.

WANTED anything that is very close to turn key and working of course. If it fits in my regal then let me know. I'll be willing to drive for pick up so don't let that hold you back from cleaning up a space in the garage

Budget is 800 or less

Where are you located? I have a good 3.8 from a 84 Ttype that has a 4 barrel intake and carb from a 4.1 and a malory(I think) dual points distributor. The long block had 117K miles on it when it was pulled but ran great.

Location is very important here. I've got an NA 3.8 still in the car with less than 100K on it right now. Still need to pull it out of the car, but if you're not close then it's not gonna help ya.

Both of us have our locations under our names. Go to your user controls and you can add yours as well. I'm about 40 miles south of DFW.

fireman im the guy who told you to post over here, also post a ad in the regional section on here it might help. lots of people on here especially in kc there is a bunch of members. also i have good luck with craigslist as well. i would expect to pay about about 1/2 of what you say your willing to spend.

Thank you for all the info.. I'll get on those posting and try my luck.
Right now I've got a 73 Buick 350 with a ton of work into it..might be looking at a trade or selling it..who knows I might just put it on a stand and finish it when things are looking better. Anyway thanks again!

I just picked up a 85 hot air motor. In the process of cleaning it up. Has everything with it, headers, electrical harness, a/c, power steering pump, intake and turbo, torque converter ect... I was really looking for a short block for an 87 sooooo... If you think it will work out you can pm me with your phone number. I will sell it for a lot less then you budget. I am not a mechanic so hopefully others can chime in here with the necessary details, if applicable.
I am also a Firefighter/Paramedic for a Union department in Northern Illinois.
