Bruce - Somethings wrong I think!

Just posted a little info. on heat vs. shift relationship last night. But before I could even get around to my line pressure test my 1-2 shift has gone ULTRA soft and 1st gear is slipping and slipping bad. I went up to the store tonight and after a while I started wondering if I was going to make it home. I reset the TV cable in the store parking lot but no change, fluid level is good using Type F. It ended up with me pulling onto my street and watching my Tach go to 2300-2500 RPM while the car moved along at 9 MPH in first gear! It wouldn't shift into second untill I completely let off the gas, then the slippage was gone. Yikes!! Am I terminal?? - BB

I've got Monday off, I'll pull the pan off then. Oh, BTW, since I just put a kit in with fresh fluid and a filter do you think I'll find much? Or will there be big chunks of stuff floating around? When I did the kit I found a small amount ,(about a table spoon), of black looking powder stuck to the magnet but no chunks and no burned smelling fluid. - BB
