i have the ramchargers Bstc installed on my stock car. all i have is a hotwired 340, accufab regulator, duttweiler intercooler neck and a reds 93 chip that i havent put in yet. with the BstC off i get 10 psi. when it is on i only have a range of adjustment from 10-14psi? has anyone had this probelm?

Are you using only 1 solinoid? Have you adjusted the actuator arm?

Some people have problems with the BstC not working without 2, not sure exactly what the problem is. You should get 15 max with it off.

only using one solenoid. wastgate still has the non-adjustable rod.
with only 1 soleniod i should still be able to get at least a 6psi range and be able to go a little past stock boost. i wish i knew what was wrong too. i wanna have just a couple more pounds over 14 but im stuck. i guess its better for the engine anyways;)

Without the controller hooked up you should see at least 15. Try disconnecting the solinoid and see what kinda of boost you get, maybe there is something wrong there.

I think 7-8 is what you should get without it.
Have you made sure lines are on there correctly?

i should get 7-8 without the soleniod hooked up?
ive looked it over and cant seem to find anything. i will check it out more tomorrow

One time I was doing something and capped the solinoid and would only get around half of the boost. Not sure exact numbers, but it was around 7-8.

If your not getting that then it's a hardware problem not computer or controller.

what soleniod are you referring too? first i thought you meant unplug the soleniod that sits on top of the front part of the passenger side valve cover, but are you talking about the wastgate soleniod?

Ya the one on the valve cover, the one the COMPUTER controls.

With that disabled i was meaning.

The wastegate is an actuator, not solinoid.

You stock wastegate actuator should be set to give about 13PSi with the BSTC all the way down. You should be able to go up about 7PSI with one solenoid from there

In an otherwise stock setup:

You should get ~10 lbs if you turn the knob all the way down.

You should get ~16 lbs if you turn the knob all the way up.

You should get ~ 14-15 if you turn it off, therefore placing the chip back in control. This amount will depend on the chip programming.

If you get more boost from the chip control, then I'd suspect something wrong with the BSTC. If you also only get 13-14 with chip control, I'd FIRST suspect a lazy solenoid, but it could also be other.

After you get the problem identified, I suggest that you make the WG arm adjustable so you can tighten it down for a base of 13, and able to adjust up to 18-19.
