My TTA started bucking at light throttle on the highway. Some of the bucks were pretty violent. After a couple of back bucks, the SES light came on and my Scanmaster showed a code 41.

My searching on the forum generally shows 3 solutions to code 41:
1) cam sensor
2) ignition module
3) wiring problem / short / etc

Before I got buying expensive parts, is there a way to narrow this down? To test the module or cam sensor?

The Cam ssensor is only used at startup to determine which Crank pulse is the #1 cylinder. On a Regal you can loose the cam sensor and the engine will still run pretty normally albeit in limp home mode with the Check engine light on. But it won't restart when shut off. Ask me how I know

Problably ign module
