Buick steering column lock question

I have seen a few Grand Nationals and TurboBuicks here on the forum with this steel steering column lock assembly. It also showed a rotating key assembly that just rotates around. There, it seemed to have four little screws in it. It looks to be stainless steel and a lot better than the other red column lock with the key with four edges ( like I have) I can't seem to find the name of this nice column lock assembly or where to buy it. Can any of you tell me what the name of this lock assembly is and where can I get one? I seem to remember it had some sort of name but can't remember it. Any suggestions?

Its called a steadfast lock and they cost about $200. installed. I have a similar one for sale that when attached it covers the complete lock-$50. shipped.

I seem to have the same one you have...covers the complete lock. Yours isn't the Steadfast Lock is it? Who sells them? I'm here in Virginia, so it it's installed, guess I'll have to find a dealer who installs them. Are they that theftproof? By that I mean, will it give a low-life plenty of trouble if he happens to try and break the column? This Steadfast is going to be used in combination of a few other anti-theft devices I have on the car.

And I know it can be towed away. Only way I can see to combat this problem is to have a silent alarm, motion detector wise, that sends out a signal to a reciever that I can wear on my belt...so I can run out and deface their face. Wish there were a system like this. But anyway, does anyone know where I can get this Steadfast system and how good is it? To the ones here who have it....do you trust it? Are you happy with it? I'd really like to know. And thank you for your offer...but I already have the type you have. Thanks.

i tried to remove a steadfast in the junkyard once using tire irons and prybars and was very unsuccessful. i finally did remove it by breaking out the windshield and using a camaro axle with a 5lb sledge hammer.

no amateur and very few professionals will peel a column with one of these on.
