It is a very valuable tool for tuning, really a must have for these cars.
Wow this is going to be expensive. I e-mailed Eric. Hopefully I can come to a decision soon.
get the gn you'll love it.
where are you located? you should have someone from the board look at the car with you.
You need to be sure it doesn't have a blown headgasket, spun bearings or other hidden damage. Make sure the trans doesn't slip.
If the engine is sound, and it only needs tuning and minor repairs, then a few hundred dollars should make it run well.
That turbo is most likely a 60mm or 63mm compressor.

Anybody have a clue (ballpark) on what it would cost to make it run right for the summer?
You never know with these cars...(Take a look at some of the pics posted on this webboard. Do you know why the hood is always open? It's because these car are money pits and that's where you throw the money... And we happy fools are content to give them as much money as they want

Buy the car. Do the spring cleaning The Grand National / T-Type / Turbo Regal Buick Spring Cleaning Guide and make sure all the basics are covered. If the car is too loud take it to an exhaust shop and make it quieter.
You'll probably need a new chip, and of course a scan tool like the scanmaster...
Just make sure you "buy it right" (ie: take into consideration any and all things you consider issues, price a fix accordingly and offer a reasonable amount of money for the car.) This is a buyers market and there are many very nice cars for sale at reasonable prices.
Good Luck with your purchase.
if those cars at country classic cars in staunton, their going to be way overpriced. you'd be way better for your time and money to buy a known good car from a reputable member on this site or similiar
That GN looks pretty good for that price. Looks like it's been taken care of. Shouldn't take too much to make her run right. There's lots of us TR junkies out here that are happy to help you out.
Besides it's just their "asking price", The asking price is always negotiable and I'm sure that in this economy the dealer will be extra negotiable.
If your car is a collector type "limited edition" that Camaro guys covet, you may want to sell it outright as opposed to trading -to any dealer. They'll never give you what your car is worth. Maybe even try ebay...
What's this Camaro supposed to be worth? Obviously you do not think that
$4k is a fair price for it. I do not know what a 1990 Iroc Convertible "Limited Edition" Marlboro giveaway car should be valued at.
Maybe you need to expand your target market and focus on "smokers" in KY, TN, WV, VA, & NC. This market might be more interested...
Do you HAVE to sell the car or merely WANT to? Maybe you should wait until you have secured a buyer for your car at the price you are looking to get and then go shopping for a TR... Just my .02![]()
