hey would any one be ble 2 tell me is the buick 231 is the same as the holden v6 and aloso would any of use no if it tpossible 2 get gear drive for either
 
Depends on what year Holden, if its after about 1991 its not. You are then talking about the Series I, II, or III V6 which I'm pretty sure they don't offer gear drives for.
 
Seems to me I remember reading somewhere that Holden only used the Series I and II motors.Everything was straight 6 up until the 90's anyway. Yep no gear drives.:mad:
 
Hey I just noticed your name. 91 was the first year of the Holden VP Calais so that would be a Series motor depending on the year. Still no known gear drives.:mad:
 
its a 91 wich is a s2 motor

so use dont think u can get gear drives for them and do u think it would be possible 2 get them made
 
No room under the timing cover for it with the reduced length and gerotor oil pump concentric around the crank snout. They make billet double roller chains for it. You have to mill 0.020in off the pump side of the steel backing plate on the oil pump I do believe though.
