bulk methanol sources in N.E.

a friend of mine makes his own biodeisel and methanol is used in the process.

he checked on bulk ethanol for me with his supplier as I have been looking for an option besides driving into boston for e85 , it worked out to almost $8 a gallon with the drum and shipping so it didnt work out for me but I told him I may be able to find a cheaper source for him for methanol...


I believe he said he is paying around $350 a drum for methanol

what do you guys know that can help him out ?

he requires 98% pure methanol for it to work in his setup

any help appreciated

I did find a thread on this forum where people post where they find it and how much a gallon etc... and there were posts in the $2-3 a gallon in drum quantities pretty prevalent around the country , anyone know of similar in northern NE ?? that would help him out greatly
