That car is stored at another location, so it may be a while before I can get a picture.

What the shop did was just fiberglass them together so the rear filler is now one piece. There is no seam or joint, and looks better than stock in my opinion. :)

Nick-the rear filler looks great-I wish we could get a vendor to have these already joined like that!

I had mine re-done with OEM fronts and Fiberglass rears. Here are pics of the fiberglass rear bumper fillers installed on my 87T. I had the body shop joined the center together and made it a one piece. Mine has only been on for a few months but I think fiberglass is the way to go. That is, if you can't find OEM. These came from eBay(Danko).

Happy spooling.

Looks great Mike, I def remember seeing it at Bates. I have done typical body work and body filler, how different is it working with fiberglass?

I did the fitting and grinding. Then brought it to my buddy with the body shop for glassing and painting. I color sanded and reinstalled.

Here's more pics of the FG fillers.

be happy feel fortunite your driving you car to the meets not setting in garage being worked on time it just takes time

I also have a set of front and rears. I just got the car painted and I don't want to screw up the fillers by putting them on crooked. The front ones appear to have dimples where you drill the holes, so that looks easy. The rear ones also appear to be easy to install, but I think I'll let the body shop drill the holes. I've screwed up simpler things than this. I'll also use plenty of shims to keep the bumpers far away from the fillers.

The rears have dimples too. I drilled them (driver side) but the center one won't line up just right. Nothing a rat file won't fix.

If you join the two rears ??

How is the joint made? Anybody have some a quick answer - don't want to hyjack the thread.

BTW - the FG fillers look great guys - can't see why I would spend a pile of money big enough to keep beer in the garage for a year just to put NOS OEM on!

I got the left side on and it came out real good. Here is a tip, maybe it will help someone-After drilling out the three holes on the vertical side of the filler, I placed the filler against the car. I put green tape (color doesn't matter) on the horizontal side where the other three (or four?) holes were to be drilled. I marked a spot on the tape where I was to drill. The holes almost came out perfect. I used a file to open them up a little and the filler slipped right on.

A couple pics.

Just finished the rears tonight. The funny smears is just a reflection.
