Just did an entire fuel line replacement on a 95 Suburban with nylon lines. Figured I would try it on a buick as well.

SignUp Now!Yes it is dorman bulk 3/8 hose. I believe the sell 1/2 as well. It is a bit tough to get over the fittings. They recomend hot water. I used a heat gun to soften the line and warm. The steel. Work good when you have leverage. Not so good when you don't.Looks really nice. Just curious on what type of hose that Is ? Is it compatable with E85?
Think it will work just fine. Get 50ft hose so you have plenty to practice on.Nice Steve.
This is a cheaper alternative that going with AN fittings/Braided line.
Was thinking of using the hose you used and running it straight from the Fuel Sender to the Fuel Regulator, of course with one cut for the fuel filter. The return line will go straight from the Fuel Sender to the Fuel rail on passenger side. Thinking of cutting the steel line going to Regulator and the steel line for return at the rail about 7 inches from the fittings and slipping the hose over it.
Thoughts?

You do know that lots of OE mfgs use the same line. No recalls because of it eitherOdd. I've owned two cars that use those lines and they like to get brittle and crack. One, luckily was a return line and only hosed down 1,3, and 5 on my 94 Blazer, the second pressure washed the bottom of my replacement Blazer and put it on a wrecker. No way I'd put that stuff on my car by choice.
I upgraded and replaced them with plain 'ole 30R9 for a permanent fix.
It is all good Earl. I was not looking for approval just tossing this out there.I do. They were OE lines that cracked on me. I'm also thinking the stuff GM uses is probably a higher quality than Dorman replacement line.
I'm all for being different, but I think I'll stick with lines that's worked for around a century instead of stuff that's proven to get hard and crack over time.
Hey Bruce,I had a problem with mice and if you go to walmart in the spice section and get a couple of bottles of peppermint oil.Soak several cotton balls with it and toss around baseboards in garage they will leave. You can put one in the car also. They are allergic to it and will not come near it.Steve, don't forget to put that heat shield over those lines to protect from exhaust pipe heat.
I do have to agree with Earl, though.....plastic will crack over time.....plus, rodents do have a bad habit of chewing on plastic.......now ask me how I know that?As I even catch mice in my garage and they do such a good job nibbling on plastic stuff on my cars.......fricken little rats.
And found a real nice mouse nest in the back area of my Corvette......thoughtful little critters used insulation from under my dashboard for a nice, cozy, warm little nest. I served him with an eviction notice. He has 30 days to evacuate the premises.........

I went and bought some more yesterday as it has been close to a year since I put it down.I have not seen the first mouse since then and no more little turds everywhere.
AWESOME!!!! Then that's exactly what I'll do per your suggestion! Thanks a million for this idea..........I'm the type of dweeb who does not kill living thing.....it's just not my way.....thus I've been using those live traps where they go in to get the bait, but can't get out....only thing is I have to keep checking the traps all of the time.......
I also have two cats outside and live in a nice garage....heated, food, water, electric blanket for cats in the cold....plenty of warm places to live out of the cold, but they've become too spoiled to cat mice anymore.....why should they? They live like KINGS!
I will definitely use your idea.........going to Walmart later this week. Thanks so much. A very humane way to get rid of the little creatures!
