C.A.T. 5140 Rods

While looking at a C.A.T. catalog I found that they make a 5140 OEM stock connecting rod. Just wondering if anybody has ever tried a set. The part # is CR-231. Maybe a good replacement?

cat is forged overseas.from what i hear the quality is decent,better than most stock stuff but not up to manley/crower/carillo standards.

I found out about C.A.T. when my buddy got one of their main stud girdles. It came with ARP studs.

Ive spoken with woody at CAT. The rods do not exist..yet. He told me summer last spring....fall last summer...winter last fall......ect.


Cat and Eagle are considering rods.
